Before release
The pre-flight check lists what would make a card wrong: missing scores, a component with no activities, a learner with no scores at all, grades still recomputing, absences over the 20% rule. Blockers stop the release; warnings can be acknowledged.
What a learner gets
- With an email on file (their own, or the guardian's): a one-time link that opens the watermarked PDF. No account needed. The link expires.
- Without an email: the card goes into the print batch, one PDF with one card per page and a cover sheet.
Printed and emailed cards carry the same watermark and reference code.
The delivery checklist
One row per learner: emailed, delivered, opened, bounced, to print, printed, handed over. A bounced address can be corrected and resent inline. "Handed over" is your tick — you own that truth.
Re-releasing
A release is an event. If a grade changes after release, revoke and release again; the new cards carry a revision number so nobody holds two different cards with no explanation.
