Sign-up, one question at a time
- Your email address. Personal or school — both work. An address ending in deped.gov.ph, or on an active .edu.ph domain, verifies you on the spot.
- The 6-digit code we email you. It is good for 10 minutes and allows 5 tries, and you can send another code once every 60 seconds.
- Your name. It goes on the report cards you sign, so write it the way you sign them.
- Which hat you wear first — class adviser, subject teacher, or both. This only decides where you land; it is not a permission, and you switch from the top bar whenever you like.
- A password, at least 8 characters.
Continue with Google skips the first two steps, because Google proves the address, and starts you at your name. Continue with Microsoft usually still asks for the code, because Microsoft does not always report an address as confirmed. Either way a provider sign-up skips the password entirely; you can add one later in Settings.
Every answer is kept as you go, so a refresh, a dead signal or a closed tab picks the conversation up where you left it.
When something goes wrong
- "That address already has an account." Sign in instead, or reset the password.
- The code has not arrived. Check spam, wait out the countdown, then send another. An expired code, a spent code and one you have tried too many times are all fixed the same way — ask for a fresh one.
- "That took long enough that we had to re-check your address." There is a 15-minute window between confirming the code and finishing sign-up. Enter the address again and a new code comes.
The first ten minutes
Your first screen is a six-step path: confirm your email, create your first class, add your learners, set up a subject gradebook, encode your first activity, preview a report card. The next step is marked, and each one is a page you were going to open anyway. It is free, and it stays free.
