Reload before anything else
A page that draws half its styling, a button that does nothing, a panel stuck on a spinner — most often your browser is holding an old copy of the app's files after we shipped an update. Reload the page. On a phone, pull down to refresh.
Reloading loses nothing. Scores save one cell at a time as you leave each box, and the class record shows All changes saved with the time of the last one. If a cell could not save you get a red box and the words "That did not save — the connection dropped. Your typed value is still here; try again when you are back online." The number stays in the box until it goes through.
Then run the check for the screen you are on
Every screen inside your gradebook carries a help drawer: the question-mark icon in the top bar, or Open the help for this screen under the page title.
- Open the class or subject you are worried about, then open the drawer.
- Under Something looks wrong?, press Check now.
- Read the findings. Each names what is wrong and what to do; Go there opens the screen that fixes it.
It looks for missing scores, a component with no activities, a gradebook still standing alone, cards that bounced or failed to render, and grades still recomputing. A clean run says so.
If it still looks wrong
The drawer's last card, If you message us, holds your support reference — eight characters — plus the class code and subject code for whatever you have open. Copy those into your message on the Facebook page.
We read the page Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. There is no ticket queue and no promised reply time, which is why the check comes first: it answers most of what we would ask you anyway.
