Components and weights
DepEd Order No. 015, s. 2026 sets three components for Grades 4–12:

Weights are fixed by the order. SchoolAide Lite does not let anyone change them — that is what keeps every grade defensible.
Examinations is a composite
Inside Examinations: Summative Test 1 (30%), Summative Test 2 (30%), Term Examination (40%). The engine combines those first, then applies the Examinations weight. This is the step most often done wrong by hand.
The pipeline
- Per component: sum of raw scores ÷ sum of highest possible scores × 100 = percentage score.
- Percentage × component weight = weighted score.
- Sum of weighted scores = Initial Grade.
- Initial Grade → transmutation table → Term Grade (whole number) with its descriptor.
Empty, zero, excused
A blank cell is not recorded and leaves both sums. A 0 is a real score that counts against the total. Excused leaves both sums, like a blank. These are three different states and they compute differently.

90–100 Advancing · 80–89 Benchmarking · 75–79 Connecting · 65–74 Developing · 0–64 Emerging.
SY 2027–2028: zero-based
From SY 2027–2028 there is no transmutation. The Initial Grade is the Term Grade, rounded, with 60 as the minimum reported. The engine switches strategy by school year — you do not have to do anything.
Final Grade and General Average
Final Grade per subject = average of the term grades, rounded once. General Average = average of Final Grades. A subject with a missing term shows INC, never a guess.
