When you need this
Your account is open but the page says "Not linked to a class yet". No adviser has your address on a class list — usually because you signed up with a different email from the one the school holds.
The quickest fix is to ask your adviser to put this address on your name on their Learners page. That links you only if you have not confirmed your email yet. If you already confirmed it, use the class code below.
Asking with the class code
- Ask your adviser for the class code. It is seven characters, shown on the class card in their My classes.
- On your portal page, under Join a class with its code, type the code. Dashes and spaces do not matter.
- Type your name the way your school writes it, for example "Dela Cruz, Juan Santos".
- Add your LRN if you know it — 12 digits, optional, and it helps your adviser find you.
- Add a short note if something needs explaining, such as "I changed my email address".
- Press Ask to be linked.
What your adviser sees
A "Portal claims" card at the top of their Learners page with your name, your email, the note you wrote, and the learner on the roster your details point at. They choose the right name and press Approve or Decline. You get an email either way, and the request stays visible on your portal page while it waits.
What if
- "No class has that code." Check every character with your adviser. The code never uses the look-alikes O, 0, I or 1, so a character that looks like one of those is something else.
- "You already asked to join that class." One request at a time. Wait for the decision.
- It was declined. The reason, if your adviser gave one, is on your portal page. Talk to them, then send the request again with the details they hold.
- "Five requests already went out today." That is the daily limit. Try again tomorrow.
- It was approved but you still see no grades. Only released terms show. Until your adviser releases one, the class card says so.
