Where it is
Open the class, then Attendance. The register shows one month at a time: learners down the left in DepEd order — boys alphabetically, then girls — and the days the class met across the top.
Mark only the exceptions
A blank cell is a day the learner was present. You never type present, so a full class costs you nothing.
- Pick the month from the row of month buttons above the grid.
- Click a learner's cell on the day. One click marks absent (
x), a second marks late (L), a third puts it back to blank. - There is nothing to save. Each click is written as you make it, and the learner's ABSENT · LATE count on the right moves with it.
From the keyboard
Focus a cell and press A or X for absent, L or T for late, and P, Backspace or Delete for present. The arrow keys move around the grid, so a whole row can be done without touching the mouse.
A late learner still counts present
Late is carried separately and never reduces days present — the learner was in class. Only an x takes a day off days present.
The counts on screen
- The right-hand column is that learner's absences and lates for the month shown.
- The bottom row is how many learners were present on each day.
- The pill in the header is the whole month's absences, or "No absences yet".
Learners you cannot mark
A learner who is transferred out or dropped shows greyed with their standing beside the name, and their cells are inactive. Every mark they already have stays exactly as recorded.
If a cell will not take a click
Two things close a cell: a week you have already finished, which you open from its dates in the header, and a term whose report cards are released.
