The form
Awards → New award.
- Name — up to 80 characters, such as Academic honours.
- Listing — Alphabetical (DepEd-aligned) or Ranked. Alphabetical lists awardees by surname. Ranked orders them by average, highest first, with the name breaking a tie.
- When is it given? — at the end of the school year on the general average, or at the end of every term on that term's average.
- The grid — one row per tier: TIER, the bottom and top of the band, and NO GRADE BELOW.
Add a tier adds a row. The × at the end of a row removes it. Save award stores the policy and it is evaluated straight away.
What the grid accepts
Whole numbers from 0 to 100. A band's top cannot sit under its bottom — The top of the band cannot be below the bottom. Every tier needs a name — Name the tier. Leave NO GRADE BELOW blank and that tier has no floor.
Two things to check before you save
Bands that overlap. A learner is named under every tier they fall into. If two bands both cover 90, a learner at 90 is read out twice and gets two merit cards. Keep the bands apart.
A ceiling that is too low. A learner above the top of every band lands in no tier. If your highest band ends at 94, the learner at 97 gets nothing. End it at 100.
Removing a policy
Remove on the award's header, then confirm. Learners stop being evaluated against its tiers. Merit cards already issued under it keep their reference codes and still verify, but the verification page can no longer name the award — so remove a policy before you issue cards under it, not after.
