Where
Your subject, then Teachers in the sidebar. It lists everyone who can open this gradebook, their role, and any invitation still open.
Two ways to add someone
The subject code. It is at the bottom of the Teachers page and on Subject settings — press it to copy. Whoever enters it at Join with a code becomes a co-teacher, so share it deliberately.
An invitation. Fill in Email, choose under As, and press Send invitation:
- Co-teacher — encodes scores.
- Owner (hand over) — takes the gradebook from you.
- Read only — sees the gradebook, encodes nothing.
The link is good for 14 days.
Who may do what
Only the owner sends invitations, withdraws them, and removes teachers. A co-teacher encodes and nothing more: activities, subject settings, linking and the learner list of a standalone gradebook stay with the owner. An adviser sees the subject through the class but cannot type a score in it.
Removing someone
Press Remove on their row. They lose access straight away, and every score they encoded stays. The owner has no Remove — hand the gradebook over first, or delete it in Subject settings.
To cancel an invitation nobody has taken yet, press Withdraw on its row.
What if
- The invitation expired. They last 14 days. Send it again from the same form; the new link replaces the old one.
- They cannot type a score. Check their role is not Read only, and check the gradebook is not locked. A locked gradebook is read-only for everyone, you included; unlock it on Subject settings.
- Someone joined that you did not expect. Anyone holding the subject code can join as a co-teacher. Remove them from the Teachers page. There is no way to change a code, so treat it like a key.
- A colleague is only covering one term. Add them as a co-teacher and remove them when the term is done. Their scores stay.
