Add the subjects first
- Open the class and go to Subjects in the sidebar.
- Press Add a subject and pick the learning area. Once you choose one, Weights it will use shows the components it will carry. They come from the DepEd order for that learning area group, so there is nothing to configure and nobody can change them.
- Press Add subject. It joins the section with the whole roster already on it.
Two ways to hand a subject to its teacher
The class code. It is in the CLASS CODE card on the right of the same page — press it to copy. The teacher enters it at Join with a code and picks the subject they teach. Nothing to type, no email needed, and they get the roster already typed. This is the cheapest way to stop the same learners being encoded twice.
An invitation. Open the actions menu at the end of the subject's row, choose Invite a teacher, type the address, and press Send invitation. The link is good for 14 days. When they accept, that subject's gradebook becomes theirs: they encode, and you keep sight of everything through the class.
While an invitation is open the row shows Invited with the address, and the menu item becomes Resend the invitation. Sending again to the same address cancels the earlier link and issues a fresh one.
Reading the page
Each row names who owns the gradebook, how many activities it has, and how far encoding has got for the term named above the list. No activities yet means nothing has been set up in that subject for that term.
What if
- The teacher never got the email. Resend it from the same menu, or give them the class code instead — it needs no email at all.
- You hit the invitation limit. Thirty invitations a day, per account. Wait a day, or use the class code.
- Remove the subject is not in the menu. It only appears on gradebooks you own. If a teacher owns it, ask them to delete it in their subject settings, or revert the link.
- The subject is already on the class. A learning area sits on a section once. Hand the existing gradebook to the right teacher rather than adding a second.
