Schools still on the K to 12 calendar keep DepEd Order No. 8, s. 2015. You choose this when you create the class — How is the school year divided? → Four quarters (legacy) — and it is fixed once the class has activities, so pick what your school actually runs.
The components
Three components, and no Examinations composite: Quarterly Assessment is a single bucket.

Senior High School on DO 8 has its own splits: core subjects 25/50/25; academic track subjects 25/45/30; work immersion, research, business enterprise and exhibit or performance 35/40/25; TVL, sports, arts and design 20/60/20.
The arithmetic
The same pipeline as DO 015: percentage per component, times its weight, summed into the initial grade, then read on the DepEd transmutation table, DO 8, s. 2015 from Appendix B of that order.
The remarks
DO 8 classes carry the DO 8 wording, not the DO 015 descriptors: 90 and above Outstanding, 85–89 Very Satisfactory, 80–84 Satisfactory, 75–79 Fairly Satisfactory, below 75 Did Not Meet Expectations. 75 is still the passing mark.
Grade 12 in the middle
A Grade 12 section still on the old curriculum in SY 2026–2027 keeps the DO 8 weights but reads them on the adjusted SY 2026–2027 table. Choose Two semesters, then K to 12 (DO 8, s. 2015 weights) in the class wizard, and the right pack resolves on its own. Grading rules always names the pack and the order behind every learning area.
